KNEECAP
KNEECAP, a group that has risen from Belfast to become a global sensation, boldly merges Irish culture, language, and the raw energy of rap. The trio – Móglaí Bap, Mo Chara, and DJ Próvaí – pushes boundaries and provokes with their music, and their intelligent debut album, Fine Art (2024), cemented their place at the forefront of Ireland’s rebellious hip-hop scene. Produced by Toddla T, the album takes listeners on a raucous night out in the fictional The Rutz pub, featuring guest appearances by Radie Peat of Lankum and Grian Chatten and Tom Coll of Fontaines D.C.
KNEECAP doesn’t stop at music – they dominate the silver screen as well. Their self-titled autobiographical film, Kneecap, in which the band stars as themselves alongside Michael Fassbender, won the Audience Award at Sundance and made history at the Galway Film Fleadh with an unprecedented three awards. It was also selected as Ireland’s official entry for the 2025 Oscars and has received widespread critical acclaim. Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh described it as “absolutely phenomenal,” and The Hollywood Reporter compared it to classics like 8 Mile and A Hard Day’s Night. KNEECAP proves that their revolutionary energy shines just as brightly on stage as it does on screen.
